The role

As a mechanical engineer intern, you'll research agricultural needs and design prototype tools, mechanisms, and equipment — the physical side of our agriculture products — working alongside agricultural, AI, and software engineers.

The core of every intern role here is research and finding gaps — digging into a problem space and spotting what's missing or broken — followed by the initial build: early prototypes, pilots, and test versions that prove the direction. UnitOne AI's full-time builders take over from there to ship the real product.

What you'll work on

  • Researching field problems and finding gaps in existing tools
  • Designing and prototyping agricultural mechanisms and equipment concepts
  • Testing and iterating on your designs with the team
  • Writing up your research and design insights
